"NO BUCKS- NO BUCK ROGERS"
That is a line from THE RIGHT STUFF, the classic film about the Space Program. It holds true here as well- this film needs to be funded. To date I raised some funds through on-line crowdfunding, and from individuals outside of the internet. As of March 2023, more funds are needed.
HOW WILL THESE FUNDS BE USED?
First, we need to update our editing equipment. LONG ISLAND JOINS THE SPACE RACE is filmed in a 4K Video Format (Some of it in 6K Video) This high res video format requires a more powerful editing computer than what we have now. To edit this film requires time away any other jobs. More interviews need to be filmed. Once we have the bulk of the financing, we should be able to deliver a completed film within four to six months.
WHAT DOES THE DONOR GET?
For a donation over $4,000 donors will have their name or business name in the opening credits of the film. Their name will be in a frame not shared by other donors. All of our press material will include the donor's name. LONG ISLAND JOINS THE SPACE RACE will play at various Long Island venues to start. The Cinema Arts Centre has vowed to screen the film. People will see that you support the arts and Long Island history.
